Roots and Patterns is founded by Molly Huntington a 23 year old self-taught artist. An indigenous youth from Kahnawake Mohawk Reserve.
Roots and Patterns is an Indigenous inspired business. That includes interior decor like wallpaper, and textiles in the near future.

How do I measure my walls for wallpaper?
Directions: Measure the height and width of the walls for coverage. Calculate wall square footage by multiplying width by height. Then, divide by the panel size square footage to determine the number of panels needed. Account for pattern matching and trimming. Email info@rootsandpatterns.ca for reassurance if needed.
How many rolls of wallpaper do I need?
Answer: Most wallpaper rolls cover about 12-16 square feet. Divide the total square footage of your wall by the coverage of one roll to determine how many you need, then round up to ensure you have enough.
What adhesive to use
Roman PRO-880 Ultra Clear Adhesive is highly recommended for easy clean up and low order, which is non-staining and strippable.
What is Grasscloth?
Crafted from hand-woven natural materials such as Hemp, Bamboo, and Arrowroot. The textured surface of the wallpaper provides a luxurious appearance and feel.
Can i purchase if im non-Indigenous?
YES!! buying from Indigenous owned businesses like R&P is culture appreciation! All products created by Roots and Patterns is made for EVERYONE!
Why does it take 2-3 weeks to get my order?
We are a small business and don't carry a large inventory. Soo each order is place with the manufacturer apon ordering.
